He is a seasoned cardiologist with over three decades of experience up his sleeves. He is counted among the most successful cardiologists in the country. Born to a doctor father, Dr. Rajiv Passey has been passionate about medicine, particularly cardiology, from the very beginning. Dr. Rajiv Passey is the son of Dr. Mohinder Nath Passey who had been a physician to the honorary former president of India, Dr. A. P. J Abdul Kalam. Dr. M.N Passey was awarded a Padma Shree in his lifetime, which is the fourth highest civilian award. Walking in his father’s footsteps, Dr. Rajiv Passey too is a focused and proficient doctor. He is known for his amicable nature amongst his patients and their peers.
Dr. Passey performs 50 to 60 cardiac catheterizations and angiography procedures in a month. His impeccable expertise lies in Percutaneous Coronary Interventions and he solves over 15 to 20 such cases every month. He is highly proficient to handle emergency cases like acute myocardial infarction. He is also highly skilled to handle procedures such as pacemaker implantation, coronary angioplasty, open-heart surgery, valve surgery, etc.
Dr. Rajiv Passey is a highly qualified doctor, He embarked on his journey with M.B.B.S from Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi. He finished his D.N.B from the National Board of Examination, followed by D.M (Cardiology) from G.B. Pant Hospital (Delhi University). Apart from his degrees, he has also completed Fellowship programs from several reputed medical organizations. He did his fellowships at the Indian College of Cardiology, the Indian College of Physicians, and the European Society of Cardiology.
Dr. Rajiv Passey doesn’t limit himself to providing exceptional patient care, he makes sure to play an active role in the future of cardiology. Earlier he served as an assistant professor at Gangaram Institute of medical sciences for Postgraduate Education and research, he is currently working as a professor in the same institution. Dr Rajiv Passey actively conducts workshops and CME programs where he trains future medicos and cardiologists.

- 2. Percutaneous Coronary Interventions including PTCA/rotational atherectomy/ directional atherectomy and thrombectomy devices. performing 15 to 20 procedures per month. Total Procedure more than 6000.
- 3. Handling acute coronary emergencies including Primary Angioplasties in patients of Acute Myocardial Infarction with and without cardiogenic shock. performing 3 to 4 procedures per month. Total Procedure more than 500.
- 4. Permanent pacemaker implantation / AICD > 800 procedures
- 5. Credited with a total of > 10,000 coronary angiographies and > 3,000 angioplasties.
I have been actively involved in teaching & conducting workshops programme & CME Programe for training young medicos & cardiologist. I have conducted several public health lectures especially related to the field of cardiology in Delhi and neighboring states and have been honoured by several social and cultural organizations including citations for social service.
I have been invited to present papers as guest faculty or chair sessions in cardiology conferences all over the world also had the honor of presenting one of the best cases in cardiology in the competitive section of call for cases at the European course in revascularization in May, 2004 at Paris.
